Hi, I’m Eitan Shmagin. With over 8 years of experience in helping young adults thrive, I’ve learned many of the common struggles students face when learning math. Such as:
- Which concepts smoothly follow previous concepts and which are new enough that they could use a better introduction.
- Are there fundamental ideas or previous skills that the teacher had to skip for the sake of time?
I like to get to the base of math, teaching my students how math works and how new ideas relate to previously learned topics. This helps them streamline information and problem-solve more effectively.
You know those annoying word problems that no one ever liked? Turns out that’s the real life application of the math you never thought you’d use! I prefer to use ordinary language to explain mathematical concepts, adapting my teaching style to individual learners. Offering engaging tutoring sessions, my greatest pride is when my students realize that, “Math doesn’t have to be hard”.
